Azaghal’s first release came in the form of “Rehearsal Demo ’98”, here roughly shortened to “Demo I / 1998”. The audio quality is, as one might expect from a rehearsal demo of that era – not great. However, this release remains an intriguing piece of Finnish Black Metal history. Dive deep into a past that is very much alive – dive deep into the Nine Circles of Hell.

The 2nd demo, Noituuden Torni, marked a significant improvement over the rehearsal demo.
Unfortunately, the original DAT tape has been lost. We conducted an extensive search for a proper copy, but every version we found had the same issue: the first track wows like a motherf*cker. Luckily, for the most part, it smooths out after that – though it’s still far from perfect.

Despite these shortcomings, these demos absolutely deserve an official tape release. Tape version includes “Musta Hiljaisuus “ as bonus track.

For True fans of Azaghal, these demos offer a dark journey through alternate versions of tracks later featured, for example, on their debut album “Mustamaa”.
